SWEDISH HOUSE MAFIA CONFIRMED TO JOIN THE FORMULA 1 STC SAUDI ARABIAN GRAND PRIX 2023 LINE UP

Another incredible act confirmed to play at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit, joining Travis Scott, Calvin Harris, Charlie Puth and Afrojack across the weekend of March 17th- 19th.

Jeddah, Saudi Arabia (March 12th) – The Saudi Motorsport Company (SMC) – promoter of the FORMULA 1 STC SAUDI ARABIAN GRAND PRIX 2023 – is delighted to announce global superstar DJs, Swedish House Mafia, will perform at the third successive F1 race weekend taking place in Jeddah on the weekend of March 17th- 19th.

The internationally revered trio of Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso and Axwell will be joining the likes of GRAMMY nominated artist Travis Scott, global superstar Calvin Harris, singer-songwriter Charlie Puth and fellow dance act Afrojack on the weekend’s incredible line-up performing at the world-class Jeddah Corniche Circuit, the longest and fastest circuit in Formula 1.

Named by DJ Magazine as the act who “kick-started America’s love affair with dance music and EDM,” Swedish House Mafia’s 15-year career has seen them score ten top-ten singles and two GRAMMY nominations for platinum-selling 2012 hit “Save the World” and quintuple-platinum “Don’t You Worry Child” in 2013.

Swedish House Mafia have used their unique sound infused with house, hip hop and rock to usher dance music culture out from warehouses and clubs into arenas and stadiums at an unprecedented scale. They became the first electronic act to headline and sell out Madison Square Garden in 2011 and the first to grace the main stage at Coachella in 2012.

Following a record-breaking tour in 2013, the supergroup took a five-year break before returning as surprise headliners for Ultra Music Festival’s 20th Anniversary in 2018. In 2022, they released their debut full-length album “Paradise Again” that launched with “Moth To A Flame” with The Weeknd. Moreover, to celebrate the release of the album they subsequently launched one of the biggest jaunts of the career via the Paradise Again World Tour, canvassing 29 cities in 11 countries across two continents for five months.

The addition of Swedish House Mafia to the line-up is just the start of what’s come at the FORMULA 1 STC SAUDI ARABIAN GRAND PRIX 2023 weekend. Fans will be treated to 3 whole days of world-class racing featuring the world’s greatest drivers as well as entertainment from the biggest names in music. Last year’s edition of the FORMULA 1 STC SAUDI ARABIAN GRAND PRIX proved to be one of the races of the season while the post-race entertainment on the Main Stage ensured the adrenaline kept flowing long after the last car returned to the pits.

With Swedish House Mafia now confirmed as the latest major headliner of the weekend, alongside Travis Scott, Calvin Harris, Charlie Puth and Afrojack, it is clear that the FORMULA 1 STC SAUDI ARABIAN GRAND PRIX 2023 will guarantee three days of non-stop thrills and excitement. It is definitely not to be missed!
